Ingredients for 4 servings: 800 gr baby onions
70 gr ham steak
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1 bunch of basil
1 bunch of parsley
Some sage leaves
Some bay leaves
A glass of broth
Half glass of dry white wine
3 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
Pepper
Salt
Ready in: about 90 minutes
How to prepare the recipe: "Baby onions with herbs":
Chop the ham and fry with oil; when it will be a little golden add the peeled onions.
Simmer very slowly, turning the onions occasionally.
Then sprinkle with white wine and let it evaporate completely; salt and pepper and add a ladle of hot stock in which you have previously melted a tablespoon of tomato sauce. Finally flavour with 2 or 3 bay leaves.
Finish cooking at very low heat, stirring often.
Chop the sage leaves along with the basil and parsley; sprinkle the onions with this mixture and mix well.
Leave on the heat for a few minutes and then serve.
