50 gr walnut kernels
400 ml milk

˝ tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp anise liqueur
1 tbsp extra virgini olive oil
Ready in: about 110 minutes
How to prepare the recipe: "Chocolate crostata with walnuts and figs":
Take a big pan and pour inside the milk, the sugar, the grated orange zest, the vin cotto, the oil, the anise liqueur, the cinnamon and the vanilla extract. Heat and stir, boil until the mixture thickens. Add the walnuts and figs previously finely minced. Let it cool and drain if necessary. Add the chopped chocolate and mince again the mixture with a mixer. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
In the meantime make the short pastry mixing all the ingredients mentioned until you get a smooth and homogenous dough. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and line a lightly oiled mold (keep aside a piece of dough in order to make some strips to cover the surface of the crostata).
Pour the filling over the short pastry and cover with the strips laying them in a cross-hatch pattern. Bake at 180 °C for an hour. Serve the crostata warm or cold.
